![]() | MAURO MUELLER is a Swiss/Mexican narrative filmmaker with a B.A. in Spanish Literature and Communications. He is currently completing his final year of Columbia University's MFA Film program. His short films have played at various festivals including Hong Kong, Singapore, Huesca, Brooklyn, Starz Denver, Frameline35 and have won numerous awards including the CINE Golden Eagle Award. He just finished his thesis film A World for Raúl, which he also wrote and co-produced. Mauro was part of the Masterclass Atelier Paris-Ludwigsburg at La Femis in Paris, a post-graduate program tailored around European co-production/distribution. He recently took part in the Script Station at the Berlinale Talent Campus 2012. Mauro likes to explore the dark nooks in the human experience through his writing, particularly as they relate to immigrants. |

Controlled, rigid, but quite liberal, Danny is suspended from his teaching job and decides to visit his old school friend and her family in Morelia, Mexico. But soon the short trip is prolonged and Mexico casts a spell over him. How does Mexico treat its immigrants and how would you feel being one? An immigrant story turned upside down.
