CUFF at RITS in Brussels, BelgiumMay 2, 2012The Columbia University Film Festival will screen a select group of films for a second year in a row at the RITS School of Arts in Brussels, Belgium on June 21-22, 2012. The event is supported by VAF (Flemish Film Fund), SACD-De Auteurs (Belgian author organization), Flemish Writers Guild and the Columbia University Club of Belgium and is developed in collaboration with the Film Division of Columbia University, School of the Arts.
In addition to the student film showcase from the Film Division, the festival will offer a master class with Ira Deutchman and Dan Kleinman, both professors at Columbia University's School of the Arts. Last year, the film festival attracted a wide variety of participants - film students, industry professionals, alumni from Columbia University, Yale University, Harvard University and the University of Chicago and from foreign clubs in Holland and France.
The films will screen on June 21-22 with the master classes scheduled for June 22. RITS School of Arts will also host a summer writing school with Professor Dan Kleinman. During the workshop, he will work with young filmmakers to develop a first draft of their screenplay. For more information, visit the website below.
