Christina Choe
Director/Writer

Christina Choe is a writer and director. She began her career as a documentary filmmaker and has screened her short documentary films, “Turmeric Border Marks” & “United Nations of Hip Hop” at numerous film festivals worldwide, including AFI Film Festival, Seattle, and Palm Springs Shorts Film Festival. In 2002 she received a New York Foundation for the Arts (NYFA) fellowship grant for video.Her feature script, “Guess Who’s Coming For Kimchee” was selected as the winner of the 2007 CAPE (Coalition of Asian Pacifics in Entertainment) New Writers Award for Best Feature Screenplay, IFP Market Emerging Narrative Program, and placed in the top 20 (out of 2700 scripts) for the 2008 Bluecat Screenwriting Competition. Most recently, she was also a semi-finalist for the 2011 ABC/Disney TV Writing Program. Her narrative shorts, “The Queen”, “The Cross” and “FLOW” have been selected for Telluride, SXSW, Los Angeles Film Festival, Aspen Shorts Fest, Seattle, Rhode Island, “Best of Fest” at Palm Springs Shorts Fest, and nominated for the Iris Prize. She is currently based in Brooklyn, NY where she is an MFA candidate at Columbia University for writing/directing and is working on a post apocalyptic feature script about the future of food.



Esra Saydam
Producer

Esra is a film producer with special focus on creativity and collaboration. A graduate of Northwestern University School of Communications, Esra Saydam majored in Animate Arts and Communication Studies, receiving her B.S. degree with Honors in 2008. While pursuing an MFA degree at Columbia University, Saydam has produced and co-produced over ten short films and a music video. She has also directed three– Glue(2009) and Fair Lawn(2009 - 2010 Seattle International Film Festival), and The Caregiver(2011). In 2009, Saydam was awarded the Hollywood Foreign Press Association Fellowship. In 2010, she got selected as one of the finalists for SyFy Imagine Greater Development Award with her thesis film, I am John Wayne. Currently, she is getting insights about indie-film world interning at Parts and Labor Films and develops two feature-film scripts that are set in her hometown, Istanbul.
