Satsuki Okawa
Director/Writer

Born in Tokyo, Japan, Satsuki Okawa graduated from Nihon University College of Art, with a BA in filmmaking. Her thesis film Windbell won a top prize at the university. Having worked for a time as a film publicist after graduation, Satsuki relocated to Scotland, UK, to pursuit her career internationally. During her 8 years in Scotland, she began to work as a music journalist for various Japanese magazines. In 2007, Satsuki again relocated to NYC to resume her filmmaking career in the MFA program at the Columbia University. She’s currently developing a feature script that spotlights a messy human drama with a touch of humor.

Young Chun has been involved in the film industry since 2001 when she started off as a staff in the Pusan International film festival. Since then, she worked on numerous international film festivals and wrote film reviews and articles for Korean press. After receiving her bachelor degree, she launched her professional career as a marketing consultant in Korea’s top advertising agency, Cheil Communications. She is currently attending the Graduate Film Division at Columbia University, concentrating in the film producing. She is a graduate of Seoul National University, with a summa cum laude in Aesthetics.
