Rafael Lessa is a Brazilian journalist who moved to New York to study film. Tá, his short film debut as a screenwriter, won the Teddy Award in 2008 at the 58th Berlin Film Festival. In the same year, The Yellow Tent, Rafael’s first short as a writer-director, premiered in Outfest and screened in GLBT fests all over the world. During his studies at Columbia, Rafael has been awarded the Hollywood Foreign Press Association Grant and the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences Internship Grant. Jiboia is his thesis film at Columbia and the base for his feature film project Greicekelly, currently in development at the production company Dezenove Som e Imagens, in Brazil, which has produced 19 feature films in the past 20 years. Greicekelly was one of the 11 projects selected for the 2011 Talent Project Market during the 61st Berlin Film Festival.

COLIN ELLIOTT has in his three and a half years written and directed a number of short films while at Columbia University, produced the thesis film Jiboia, and was the cinematographer on The Yellow Tent. He will continue to study directing this summer at La fémis in Paris. Prior to graduate school, Colin was the assistant to award-winning director Gregg Araki on the feature film Mysterious Skin. Colin's video installation My Drama Is Your Drama was selected for the Aurora Picture Show's "Best of Extremely Shorts" (2004) and was awarded the Christine Croneis Sayres Memorial Art Award from Rice University.
