Sandra Beltrao is a multi-lingual writer/director with credits for the BBC, Discovery, New York Times and Channel 4 in the UK from where she originally hails. Raised in London by Brazilian parents, she moved to New York six years ago to direct reality shows for BBC USA before going onto complete her MFA in Film Directing at Columbia University. She has directed a number of award-winning short films including "Si j'etais un arbre" (If I were a tree) filmed in Paris as part of Columbia's directing exchange program with La Femis, the national film school. She is currently developing "Youkali" into a feature.
