2011 CUFF Filmmakers Find Success
Apr 19, 2011
Several filmmakers with shorts in this year's festival have already found success with their films and beyond.
Nicholas Greene ('10) was selected for the Berlin Talent Campus in February. His film, Salar, was selected for the International Competition at the Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival.
Rafael Lessa's (4th year Directing) feature screenplay, Gracekelly, was one of eleven projects selected for this year's Berlin Film Festival Co-Production Market.
Writer/Directors Christopher Radcliff ('10) and Lauren Wolksten ('09), and producer Joonhan Lee (3rd year Producing), premiered their short film The Strange Ones in competition at this year's Sundance Film Festival.
Simão Cayatte (3rd year Directing) and Elisa Lleras (3rd year Producing) will screen their film, A Viagem (The Trip) at the Cannes Film Festival in the Cinéfondation portion of Cannes.
Congrats to the filmmakers for their ongoing success. Greene's Salar, Lessa's Jiboia (Boa), Radcliff and Wolkstein's The Strange Ones, and Cayatte's A Viagem (The Trip) will all screen at this year's festival.
