Directors Bio: Yitz Brilliant received his M.F.A. from Columbia University Film Division in 2009, and is a recipient of the Jack Kent Cooke Fellowship. His previous short film "The Kiddush Man" won the National Board of Review Award at last year's Columbia Film Festival, was selected to participate in Columbia's ASCAP film scoring workshop, and has been playing at film festivals across the country. Previously, Yitz was awarded Faculty Honors in the 2006 Columbia Screenplay Competition for his feature script, "The Pirates of Pinsk," a pirate comedy adventure. Over the last few months, in addition to editing his film "Cemetery Club," Yitz has been working as a freelance director and editor on commercials for such companies as Equal and Random House books. |
