Now in its 19th year, the Columbia University Film Festival celebrates the work of screenwriting, directing, and producing students from the Graduate Film Division of the School of the Arts at Columbia University, located in New York City. These screenings are just one of many events taking place during our 11-day celebration, and these films fulfill Masters of Fine Arts thesis requirements for graduation from the program.
This year's festival displays with pride the diverseness of our student body, with films shot both locally and around the world, and highlights the ever-progressing nature of filmmaking as a medium, with capture elements ranging from 35mm to mini-DV and Flash animation, thus proving that the only boundary in film is the imagination.
